Living Alongside Recovery.

A skills-based family support group held every Tuesday evening at 7 pm Eastern. Each week we explore a short reading on family recovery and discuss how to apply it to real-life situations. It's a warm, supportive space — you leave with tools you can use right away.

What happens in the room.

Most family support spaces are venting rooms — and venting matters. But when you've been at this for months or years, venting alone stops moving the needle. Living Alongside Recovery is different. Each week we sit with a short reading on family recovery — one that speaks to whatever's happening in your house right now — and then we do the real work: what does this mean for the conversation you're going to have on Tuesday morning?

It's the difference between learning about boundaries and learning what to say when your son tells you he's "just having one." Between hearing that detachment matters and figuring out how to detach without abandoning him. The group is small enough to be real and large enough that you're never alone with what you brought in.

A typical evening

  • 0–10 min: Brief check-in. Anyone wanting to share where they are.
  • 10–25 min: Read together — a short passage, usually one page.
  • 25–55 min: Discussion. How does this land in your life this week? What's the experiment between now and next Tuesday?
  • 55–60 min: Close. Each person names one thing they're taking with them.

Who this is for

Families nationwide. You don't need a loved one in formal treatment to come. You don't need to have "the answer" about whether they have a problem. You don't need to know if you're being too soft or too hard — that's part of what we work on. If you're tired of carrying this alone, you belong here.

Who this isn't for

This isn't a treatment group, a crisis line, or a substitute for therapy. If you're in active crisis, please call us directly at 513-500-3981 or, if it's a medical emergency, dial 988 or 911.

Start with the situation as it is.

You do not need to know whether your family needs intervention, coaching, treatment navigation, or long-term support before reaching out. That is part of the work.
